This project will support the social & economic integration of 800 OVCs, leaving in 200 vulnerable poor families headed by children and women in Ngororero district,Western Province, Rwanda.
Ngororero District is among the districts most affected by the tutsi genocide in Rwanda. The genocide had started early in Ngororero district since October 1990 until 1994, killing many people, and leaving behind a big number of orphans and vulnerable children and many poorest households headed by children and women. 800 OVCs leaving in 200 poorest households headed by children and women will benefit from a solution.
We provide child headed households with community based mentors, training in support group dynamics and small business management and we provide child and woman headed households with strter's kits to practice organic farming on their own plots.
We will empower them through the community based mentoring, organic farming skills development to enable them to enhance their lives to become self-sustaining and integral members of their communities.
