Update

By Mastora Bakhiet | Project Leader

Hello our dear friends and supporters,

I would like to thank you for your generous donation! On behalf of Darfur Women Network, I would like to share with you that we are still trying to reach more donors to help us to purchase the materials that are needed for producing Soap in the camp. The survivors of genocide hope to have the materials to start earning money.

We have a plan to find way to marketing this project inNovember when we implement our place and spirit event to raise money in order to start our production station.

Sadly, we haven’t had progress; we are still on the same point.  Struggling to provide ingredients to enable one production group to produce soap is our challenge, now.

However, lack of income for the majority of the survivors of genocide has affected their personal hygiene.

The soap making ingredients and tools are:

• Rubber gloves
• Goggles for protection from the hazardous chemicals-cannot be found locally)
• Soap Cutter ( Manua- a soap cutter is used to cut the soap into bars, cannot be found locally)
• Soap Mixing Tools
• Soap Maker Scales
• Soap Molds
• Soap Molds
• Sodium hydroxide

The Darfur Women Network will benefit from Globalgivingtraining and tools and connection to achieve our goals.

Please, visit our project on GlobalGiving side and help us to make difference.
