On August 16, following up on the report by ISCP-YPKSI volunteers to BKSDA Aceh resort 7 Takengon that there were villagers trying to sell 3 individual slow lorises that had been caught or hunted from the forest, and for that ISCP-YPKSI volunteers forwarded the report to BKSDA Aceh officers, and on On the same date, August 2023, BKSDA officers confiscated/rescued the pangolin accompanied by ISCP volunteers.
Because the three slow lorises were still healthy and wild, Wildlife officers authorithy accompanied by ISCP volunteers immediately released them to the protected forest area in Central Aceh because the animals were in an aggressive and healthy condition.
