Slow lorises saved on National Resurgence Day!!!

Thursday, May 20, 2021, also coincides with the commemoration of the National Resurgence Day in Indonesia, the Bksda team and ISCP rescued 1 individual Sumatran slow loris mother and the baby, from residents of Fajar Harapan village, Timang Gajah sub-district, a Bener Meriah district,Aceh. Information obtained by ISCP from informants stated that there is a resident who has kept the Sumatran slow loris mother and the baby for approximately 1 month, where the resident did not know that the slow loris is a protected wildlife by law,by given warnings and education so that he do not return to hunting or keep slow lorises or other wild animals and if he do the same thing in the future, he or this resident will be prosecuted according to applicable law Furthermore, the slow loris and baby slow lorises were secured by the Aceh BKSDA team and the ISCP for medical inspection before being released later.

Thank you to the Aceh BKSDA, ISCP Aceh representative volunteers, all #goodpeople ,#GlobalGivingDonors who care about wildlife and also other NGOs who work hand in hand to care for and preserve Indonesia's wildlife, and hopefully on this National Resurgence Day the spirit of community awakening will rise and continue to grow. to care for the preservation of Indonesian nature and wildlife.
