SLOW LORIS & WILDLIFE NEW REHABILITATION CENTER

Friday, April 30, 2021, the Bksda central Aceh and ISCP team confiscated the male Sumatran slow loris from the results of the ISCP informant's report that there would be a slow loris trade transaction in Lampahan village,then the ISCP team contacted the BKSDA representative at the Central Aceh resort and immediately drove to the location and It was found that the slow loris trader had left the transaction location and only residents had bought the slow loris.Furthermore, representatives of the Central Aceh resort BKSDA together with ISCP members secured the slow loris and provide warnings and information to resident who buy slow loris not to buy anymore because the slow lorises are protected by law and are not allowed to keep or buy slow loris for any reason according to law no. in 1990 concerning the Conservation of Living Natural Resources and their Ecosystems.

Due to the fact that the slow loris has not been kept long and is still in a healthy and wild behaviour, the BKSDA team together with the ISCP team released the slow loris in the forest conservation area of Central Aceh on the same day.
