This layered application of punishment is to increase the deterrent effect. Perpetrators of crimes against wildlife, especially the Sumatran slow loris and other protected wildlife, should be punished as severely as possible. The environment and forests, including wildlife, as the assets of the Indonesian nation must be protected.

Of the 1090 birds, 145 are protected species. Currently he is being secured from the suspect and entrusted to the BKSDA Bengkulu SKW III Lampung Animal Rescue Center. The arrest originated with information received by Section III of the Sumatra Region Gakkum Balai Gakkum KLHK from KSKP Bakauheni, namely the transportation of illegal wildlife. The Sumatra Region KLHK Gakkum Center coordinated with BKSDA Bengkulu SKW III Lampung and Lampung Police and assigned the Siamang Brigade SPORC to arrest the perpetrator who was being secured by KSKP Bakauheni. On March 2, 2021, the Team secured YF - the bird owner - and the US (24) as the car driver, at Bakauheni Ferry Terminal area, South Lampung Regency. YF is a resident of Sukoharjo III Barat Village RT / RW 001/007, Sukoharjo District, Pringsewu Regency and AS is a resident of Hamlet 7, Medium Mulyo Village, Medium Agung District, Central Lampung Regency. life is packed in 35 plastic baskets and 39 boxes of Daihatsu Xenia (BE 1067 UR) vehicles. BKSDA identified 145 out of 1,090 birds as protected by law. YF and AS were handed over to PPNS Gakkum at the Gakkum Post in Lampung Province for further processing.
