Funding was secured to serve 100 girls with sisterhood mentoring services in 2012.
Sisterhood Agenda instituted the Girl Band program, a Positive Media project that is implemented and filmed locally in St. John and available in online reality series-based segments in 2012; http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/girl-band.
The Global Sisterhood Planning Committee began meeting in April and continues its monthly planning sessions via online meeting format. The inaugural Global Sisterhood Conference is planned for November 2012 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Sisterhood Agenda’s website, www.sisterhoodagenda.com, is currently under construction. The new site, integrated with Sisterhood Agenda’s social networking sites, is being created.
Sisterhood Agenda is working with its Global Partners in California, Chicago, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Senegal, along with its other 3,000 Global Partners in 32 countries.
