Greetings! Please find updated information about Sisterhood Agenda’s Global Training Academy in the U.S. Virgin Islands and related project activities.
NEW ACTIVITIES
The Sisterhood Agenda Global Training Academy currently holds monthly Global Sisterhood Conference Planning Committee meetings via webinar format. These important meetings about the upcoming conference have been held since April 2011. Sisterhood Agenda’s inaugural global conference is scheduled for November 2012. Committee members represent the geographical areas of the Virgin Islands, United States, and West Africa.
Sisterhood Agenda completed its first Sisterhood/Brotherhood Career & Life Skills Summer Training Program in St. Thomas this summer [please see press release]. News articles were featured in St. John Source, Tradewinds, and The Virgin Islands Daily News.
Consistent with its Positive Media campaign and mission to uplift women and girls and aid in their self-development, Sisterhood Agenda is creating a new website. The new site will be a more interactive, multi-media experience. Sisterhood Agenda is also fundraising and collaborating with Global Partners to produce a new media project for online and local television broadcasting.
Sisterhood Agenda founder and President, Angela D. Coleman, was featured in the July 2011 University of Phoenix alumni magazine, Phoenix Focus. The article, part of the publication’s global issue, can be accessed online: http://www.phoenixfocus.com/2011-07/alumni-profiles-angela-coleman/#.
