Sistema in Norwich Holiday Provision

Though we have not been successful in raising all the funds we sought in the Gateway Challenge, we in fact raised a further £900 offline thanks to one of our amazing parents (who got sponsorship to shave her head). However, we felt it was too late to effectively plan and deliver activity during August, especially with a few of our children already taking part in the Sistema England summer school.  So we postponed our plans to enable us to plan and put on activities in the upcoming holidays, when the level of funds we have will make more impact.

- we are going to be able to put on two days in the October half term, and

- two days in the Christmas holidays.

As well has meaning we can keep the children occupied and engaged during these holidays, it also means we are able to bring two really exciting and inspiring tutors to Norwich to work with us.  And we know what it means for the children.

"The thing I learned this week was that it is actually easy to make friends.  You just have to talk to them.  I was so worried when we started."  Ellen, violin.

"I think Sistema is different than any other music group. The reason why is because it’s not just about music. It is about being together and we are like one big family that cares and helps each other out when needed. I have been in Sistema for 5 or 6 years now and it has changed my life. You get to meet new people and make friends. Being part of this was the best decision that I have ever made." Alisha, violin.

We will tell you more about our plans and let you know who it goes.

Thank you so much for your support.
