Dear Supporter,
As funds start to come in slowly, I thought this month we would share another example of the work being done by Sing me a Story Foundation. Below is a excerpt of a story written by Vivien (age 12) called I'll Toughen Up.
Even though my tearsDrown my cries of fearI'll toughen upAnd show my stuffAnd even though life is roughI'll stay strongAnd prove you wrongEven though I may be screamingInside my brave is gleamingAnd even though my cries are loudI'll wipe them dry and stand up proud.Vivien is another child from Cape Hobe, a special summer camp designed for children with cancer. The camp provides medical and pyschosocial supervision to ensure childre and safe both mentally and physically during camp.
Luckily, Vivien's story has inspired two musicans, Douglas Forshey from Nashville and City Slicker from Atlanta to transform her story into a song to inspire her when times get tough. Both are beautiful songs that you can hear on the following link - https://singmeastory.org/stories/i-ll-toughen-up
We hope as more funds come in, we can support more children in need to have their story turned to song.
Thank you for supporting this project so far.
All the best
