Food Security is one of the imprtant tool to fight poverty and unemployment in underdeveloped countries in Africa.Sijonge Kuwe has sarted food gardening project in Khayelitsha.Youth,women and people with disabilities are encouraged to have food gardening in their homes and will be trained on food gardening skills as well as business skills training.We intend to train 20 people in this quarter.On completion of training these individuals will be supplied with small tools,seeds and fertilizer.
Poverty and unemployment are rife in our communities the best way is for people to create food gardening in their homes to feed themselves and sell the surplus.There are currently 5000 homes in the area that we are operating.We will provide them with skills.
Sijonge Kuwe Youth Development Project is encouraging people to grow food gardening in their homes and they will be trained on food gardening skills and basic business skills on how to run a business.
