Shooting for goals at the ASEAN para games 2017

According on September 2017 the  ASEAN's para game 9th will be held in Malaysia, on that event Laos have sent wheelchair Basketball for men team to participated, on this time supported by our government such as financial, technical, we have 12 wheelchair basketball player and 5 team manager to attended.

For plan preparation training usually we practiced unofficial Week 3 times already, and for preparing for training to join sports 9th ASEAN para game in Malaysia 2017, we plan to drill start date 24/06 / 2017-19 / 07/2017, for this event we have cooperation with DESE project to support wheelchair basketball coach from Australia, and on the end of July 2017 start official training support by our government and coach will support from Japan.

We expect to participate in this competition, we will be sent 2 types: Type 5-5, 3-3 Type 5-5 which we expected to be put forward for 3-3 bronze and we hope to silver.

Practice sessions regularly

Lao disabled peoples association (LDPA) continue to encourage people with disabilities in Vientiane capital to play and practices wheelchair basketball regularly 3 time per week.  

LDPA have promoted and attended wheelchair basketball clinic on 13-17 March 2017, in this event we have 5 team from others province to join such as Loungprabang, Xiengkhoung, Savanhnakhet, Champasak and Vientiane capital

  After finished wheelchair basketball clinic. We join the first wheelchair basketball tournament in Laos on 18 March 207 at Vientiane International School indoor stadium,

• Planning for fundraising activity at national and provincial level
• Continue team clinic and practice sessions for the next ASEAN Para Game in Malaysia 2017
