Green Valley is Getting Ready to Nurture and Shine

SHINE project stakeholders and partners converged on September 7, 2018 to finalize project schedules and finalize the monitoring metrics.

Co-hosted by the Department of Education's (DepEd) Sarangani Division and the Provincial Government's Sulong Tribu (Forward for Tribes) Special Project Office, all stakeholders committed to letting Green Valley SHINE.

Watch up for the upcoming project activities:

Farmer Field School Training on October - December 2018. Sulong Tribu will immerse themselves in the 3 villages to teach our SHINE families with organic vegetable farming. They will also provide initial vegetable seeds to enable the families to start their own backyard vegetable garden.
Orientation on hygiene and parent monitoring will be extended by the DepEd Sarangani in November 2018.
Philips Lighting Foundation committed to providing solar home systems for SHINE Green Valley! Solar trainings and installations will be conducted by FREED/StS Philippines in November to December 2018.
Green Valley teachers committed to conducting additional baseline data gathering to effectiely monitor the benefits and impact of the project.

Things started slowly, but we're getting ready to take off and let it SHINE in Green Valley.
