The Rotary Club of Halstead and the Halstead Day Centre are extremely grateful to all donors who have supported this project during these difficult times. Your support has enabled the Halstead Day Centre to survive under the Covid 19 restrictions that exist at present.
The Halstead Day Centre was closed for a number of months during the height of the pandemic and is now restricted to six members, this has meant that the income has been severely reduced and the centre has relied on its reserves and donations from various sources including those from GlobalGiving to weather this crisis.
Your continued support gives the centre a lifeline during these difficult times.

It is with great sadness that due to lockdown rules the Halstead Day Centre has not been able to provide its normal support to the elderly of Halstead. Also during this period more and more elderly residents of Halstead are seeking the services of the centre to provide relief from the loneliness and isolation that Covid 19 is causing. Let’s hope that the lockdown rules will allow the centre to resume its essential work soon.
At present the centre has managed to keep its entire staff on the pay roll through this lockdown, this is essential in order that once things start to return to some normality the centre can respond immediately and start to offer a service once again.
The management staff at the centre are controlling the expenditure on a day to day basis but without the regular income from members the financial situation is difficult. The donations received through GlobalGiving have provided a lifeline that has enabled the centre to be ready to open its doors once again, but any further support would be greatly received.
