Shelter 1,200 Kids Affected by Fire in Nigeria

Greetings from LIFE AGLOW FOR CHILDREN FOUNDATION.

We hereby submit this project report for our GlobalGiving project titled “Shelter 1,200 Children Affected by Fire in Nigeria.” This report provides an official update on the project’s current status.

Due to the absence of received funding to date, full project implementation has not yet commenced. Nevertheless, the situation on the ground remains critical, as children and families affected by fire outbreaks continue to live in unsafe and unstable conditions.

Project Objective

• This project seeks to provide emergency shelter and essential relief to 1,200 children affected by fire disasters in Nigeria through:
• Temporary shelter support
• Basic household and sleeping materials
• Hygiene kits and childfriendly essentials
• Protection and psychosocial care
• Activities Status
• Rapid needs assessment in affected communities: Completed
• Beneficiary identification: Completed
• Community coordination and response planning: Completed
• Shelter construction and relief distribution: Pending (awaiting funding)

Challenges

The key challenge is the lack of financial resources, which has delayed the delivery of shelter and emergency relief to affected children.

Way Forward

Once funding is received, LIFE AGLOW FOR CHILDREN FOUNDATION will immediately roll out shelter support and relief interventions, prioritizing the most vulnerable children and ensuring strict accountability and timely reporting to GlobalGiving.

We deeply appreciate GlobalGiving’s commitment to humanitarian response and look forward to partnering to restore dignity, safety, and hope to children affected by fire disasters.
