Shelter 1,200 Kids Affected by Fire in Nigeria Project Update LIFE AGLOW FOR CHILDREN FOUNDATION continues to focus on supporting vulnerable children affected by fire disasters in Nigeria. Our project aims to provide safe shelter and essential relief assistance to 1,200 affected children who have experienced the loss of homes, clothing, educational materials, food, and other basic necessities. What Has Happened? During this reporting period, we did not receive any funds from GlobalGiving for this project. Consequently, we were unable to implement the planned shelter intervention at the intended scale. Despite the lack of project funding, we have continued to advocate for the affected children, raise awareness of their needs, seek potential donors and partners, and prepare for implementation when resources become available. Challenges The greatest challenge remains insufficient funding. Many affected children and their families continue to face difficulties accessing safe accommodation and basic necessities. The limited resources available to our organization cannot meet the scale of the identified needs. Impact Although GlobalGiving funds have not yet been received, the project has helped us keep the needs of these vulnerable children visible and continue our fundraising and partnership efforts. What Happens Next? Once funding is received, we will prioritize the most vulnerable children and families and provide emergency shelter, food, clothing, bedding, hygiene items, educational materials, and other essential assistance. We will also monitor beneficiaries and document project activities and outcomes to ensure accountability to our donors and partners. We remain committed to this project and continue to seek support to give these children a safer and more hopeful future. Every child deserves a future.
