Dear Donors,
We sincerely thank you for your interest in the SHE CAN: Skateboarding for Street Girls project. At this time, no donations have been received, so the planned activities have not yet begun.
Across many communities, street-connected girls continue to face difficult living conditions. Many lack access to safe spaces where they can learn, play, and grow. Without structured activities, they spend long hours in unsafe environments where they are exposed to violence, substance use, and exploitation.
The absence of guidance and positive engagement limits their chances of building confidence or developing useful life skills. This leaves many of these girls without direction or support to move toward safer and more stable futures.
This project is designed to engage street-connected girls through skateboarding, combined with mentorship and life-skills sessions. Participants will receive training, safety gear, and guidance from mentors who will support their personal growth and well-being.
With the right support, these girls can gain confidence, build friendships, and spend time in safer environments that encourage positive development.
We appreciate your time in learning about this effort and remain hopeful that support will come so this project can begin and reach girls who need safe spaces and guidance.
Sincerely,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
