Animal Rescue Sofia set up the first equine sanctuary in Bulgaria, while also disseminating humane practices in caring for equines. The RanchSanctuary is a permanent home for neglected, abused or sick horses, donkeys and farm animals. Today The Ranch houses 30 residents in need of specialized care and diet, suitable for their compromised health and medical conditions. Expenses for high-quality roughage (hay, alfalfa) and various supplements are daily. The donations within the GlobalGiving project in the period of March through July 2026 allowed us to feed 2 horses for a day.
