The Glimpses of Happiness at LBHC
Dear Supporters and Well Wishers,
Greetings from Lord Buddha Home for Children!!
The children at “Lord Buddha Home for Children” are doing fabulous because of your Love and Support. Every month it is fun to watch and hear their stories as they grow and develop into kind, loving, people. Your donations have been used wisely and productively to bless the Children's Lives. The activities recorded in this quarter are as follows.
Library used as an Education center: - Children are using the library regularly as a learning hub. After coming back from the school they take lunch and then go to the library. They come at 2:30 PM and study till 4:00 PM. They read story books and biographies of our leaders. They enjoy the study in library and always excited to go there.
Dance Programme: - A programme was organized by E.P.C (Education Progressive Centre) coaching center, Bodhgaya at Sambodhi International Hotel on 9th July 2017. LBHC children participated and performed dance programme on 3 songs Mahire Bande Mataram, Chanda Chamke, Deva Sri Ganesha. NBJK staff trained them for dance. Performances of children were very good and all were appreciated by the audience and judges. They got T-Shirt and tracksuit as a prize. Children were very happy. These types of activities will remove their stage fear also and will encourage them to participate in any activities confidently.
Medical Checkup: -
The medical checkup is done weekly. Two doctors Dr. Abhishek and Dr. Rameshwar come for check up on different days. Due to the rainy season, some children named Indal, Sonam, Gudiya, Puja, Sumit, Pankaj, and Sanjay had infected from skin Itching problem, stomach pain, and fever. After getting proper treatment and care now they are completely fit.
Conducting meeting with mothers: - LBHC accommodates 72 children from age group 3 to 18(28 girls, 44 boys) in 7 houses, each with 10 children cared by one mother. So we conducted regular meeting with mothers regarding the issues of LBHC. We discussed the issues raised by them. They complained about the children behavior. We called the children at the meeting and counsel them to not to do so. Children felt their mistake and promised not to do it again. Children also shared their issues and we solve all the problems.
Celebration of Raksha Bandhan
On dated 7.8.17 children of LBHC celebrated Raksha Bandhan, the festival of brothers and sisters, with hilarity. Administration of LBHC arranged Rakhi and sweets. All the children gathered in the community hall for the function. Girls tied the Rakhi on the wrist of boys. The materials have been provided to mothers for making special foods for children. All the children ate cottage cheese, sweet rice, puri etc and enjoy a lot.
Celebration of Independence Day at Komal Pujan Public School in LBHC campus-
On the day of 15th of August, Komal Pujan Public School celebrated Independence Day in LBHC campus. The flag hoisting has been done with the great salute. Everyone sang National Anthem. The children performed on different songs and delivered speeches. This celebration induced the feeling of patriotism among them. After finishing all the programs sweets were distributed to all the children and staffs. They all were very happy.
