70th Independence Day celebration at Lord Budhha Home For Children

Dear Supporters and Well Wishers,

Greetings from Lord Buddha Home for Children!!

I am excited to present the progress report of the past few months. In the last month with all the other activities, children at LBHC observed 70th Independence Day celebration.

Every year on 15 August India celebrates Independence Day. Like past years, on 15th August we celebrated Independence Day at LBHC. It is known that Independence Day is an auspicious occasion for all of us. India’s Independence Day is the most important day to all the Indian citizens and has been mentioned forever in the history.  We celebrate Independence Day every year on 15th of August to remember the first day of freedom of India as well as remember all the sacrifices of the great leaders who have sacrificed their lives in getting freedom for India. On this special day all the institutions, government department, NGOs, civil societies and common people celebrate Independence Day every year.

In the LBHC home also on the occasion of Independence Day various programs was organised by the children of Lord Buddha Home for Children. The programs were as followed –

  • Speech competition among the children.
  • Dance competition.
  • Drama shows.

 The village representative, Mukhiya (chief) Sri Binod Tiwari and Senior doctor, Dr. Rameshwar Prasad were the chief guests of this program. Chief guest, Dr. Rameshwar Prasad gave welcome speech and the Village chief gave inaugural speech. A child named Sumant Kumar anchored the whole day program.

The programme started with the speech competition in which total 8 children participated. All the children delivered speech on Independence Day and its importance for Indian people. The subjects of the speech were Mahatma Gandhi and other great leaders of India, importance of Education, ill practices in the society and its eradication etc. and the role and responsibilities of Indian Citizen.

10 numbers of children participated in dance competition. They performed very well. All the performance was based on patriotic songs. Dance were performed on Bande Matram Song, Desh Rangeela, Bache Man ke Sache, We shall overcome, kar Chale Ham Fida Jane tan Sathiyon etc.

The third program was Drama show and the theme of drama was Unity is Strength. LBHC children Chandan and Karan played drama.

In the concluding speech, the Centre In-Charge, Mr Tripurari gave thanks to the honourable guests and also appreciated the children on their performances. After completing the program, NBJK distributed snacks and some refreshments among LBHC children.
