Sew Empowered Nairobi: Angel Wings Kits and Training
During this reporting period, direct kit distribution and in-person training activities were paused due to limited funding for this campaign. While we were unable to move forward with implementation, this period was used to maintain partnerships, refine project planning, and ensure readiness for immediate rollout once sufficient funds are secured.
Our commitment to the women and girls this project is designed to serve remains unchanged. The Angel Wings Kits are intended to help girls manage menstruation with dignity and confidence, enabling them to stay in school during their periods. In parallel, the Sew Empowered Training Programme is structured to equip women with sewing skills and menstrual health knowledge, preparing them to become community ambassadors who can educate others and sustain impact locally.
We continue to work closely with Youth Care Africa to ensure that materials, training frameworks, and community coordination are in place so the project can be activated without delay. This groundwork is essential to ensuring that donor support translates quickly and effectively into measurable impact when implementation resumes.
Looking ahead, Sew Bee-Cause Foundation remains fully prepared to activate this project as soon as conditions allow. We remain focused on delivering a thoughtful, community-centred programme that supports dignity, education, and long-term resilience for women and girls in Nairobi, and we look forward to sharing concrete progress in upcoming reports.
