By Barbara Gurley | TSC Treasurer and Project Leader
19 high school students and 4 chaperones travelled to Ghana in April 2013 and successfully installed 90 computers in five schools/community centers near Kumasi, Ghana.
The Ghanaians students were excited to start using the computers -- learning Microsoft Word and Excel. They caught on very quickly. The teachers are happy to have these tools to help students learn and be prepared for exams.
Students from both countries enjoyed spending time learning about each others cultures and playing together.
Your generous donations helped support the computer labs, and allows TSC to provide scholarships so that a diverse group of high school students can participate in international community service trips like this.
