English connects Cambodian students to knowledge, technology, education, and opportunities beyond their village. Combined with computer lessons, English provides critical skills for today's workforce and opens the gateway to a world of possibilities.
The rural public schools don't have the financial or human resources to offer English language, science, and computer classes. Without English language or Computer skills students can't find jobs in the emerging economy.
Nearly 2000 kids attend the provincial schools. Many want to learn in our after school programs that offer English language, science, and computer lessons. Over 400 students attend the weekly English Language program with 5 teachers and 10 lesson daily, Mo-Fri. Over 100 kids attend computer skills lessons each week. 100+ kids are learning science. We want to expand the programs so more students can learn.
The children's economic future depends on these essential skills. They are crucial for employment in Cambodia's growing economy.
