Dear KEDEC Supporters,

We're happy to update you on our progress towards incorporating the sensory room into our day care centers in the Imereti region. Last week we received our funding from globalgiving.org and are now in negotiations with SpaceKraft to purchase the sensory room. In the meantime, our day care center teachers have been trained on using sensory tools to help improve the motor and coordination skills of our children by occupational therapists at the McLain Association for Children. We've already been able to incorporate some tools into the daily activities of the children and the sensory room will add more depth to these activities. We're excited to share our progress as the program continues.

Thank you so much for helping us to make this project happen!

We would like to share with you another project on global giving ( https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/safe-transportation-for-children-with-disability/ ) that will help us purchase and adapt a van for wheel chair access. This will provide a safe and timely transportation option for our children while also saving us a great deal of money on transportation costs over time.

Sincerely,

Lia Kiladze
