SEND HEALTH AND HOPE TO THE NEEDY FAMILIES

Dear Friends and Well-Wishers,

We hope you are staying safe and healthy during this challenging time. Candles of Hope Uganda is incredibly grateful for your generosity, especially those members that came together in July 2020 to give a total of $944.90. 

I am very glad to inform you, through the donations received, we have managed to continue the construction of Grace’s house by buying the 40 kg of nails and 50 iron sheets, and paid the workers for erecting the house. In addition, we bought a goat for one community member and planted a garden for another community member.

Thanks for the continued support.  Without your kind hearts and generosity, none of these activities and supplies would be possible.

Dear Donors And GlobalGiving Staff

I want to personally thank you for your kind donation to Candles of Hope Uganda.  With your generous support we are better placed to change the lives of those in our community.  You are making this happen, and Candles of Hope Uganda and our community are grateful.

Now that the Ugandan Government has relaxed lockdown restrictions for Covid-19, our community can get food supplies.  Therefore, this past month we specifically focused on clearing land and building a house for Grace and her family.  With your donation, our program has been able to hire workers to clear the land, purchase the poles for the roof and walls, and purchase bricks for laying the floor.   We are making great progress, because of your generosity.  We are hopeful that we will continue to be blessed by donors so that we can purchase the rest of the materials to complete the house.  These materials include 50 iron sheets, 40 kgs of nails, 5 doors, 4 windows, 15 trips of sand, plus labor for erecting the house.  Once these purchases are secured, the finishing to the house will be applied.
