Dear buildOn family, friends, and supporters,
YOU made THIS happen! This Sunday, July 7th, six students from Eastern High School will leave for Malawi.
Over the past few weeks, buildOn’s Skyler Badenoch has led pre-trip workshops to help the students prepare. These newly minted young global ambassadors are excited, nervous, curious, and eager to start on what will be a life changing experience. These six students are still getting over the shock that this IS actually HAPPENING - that this opportunity is actually REAL. The anticipation is palpable and they haven’t even stepped on the plane yet.
The students will be working alongside the community to expand a school in Kambanga, Malawi, where 348 students in grades 1 through 7 study in one school block. You can learn more about Guchi Junior Primary School, in the attached buildOn profile.
The entire buildOn DC chapter and Eastern Senior High School want to thank each and every one of you for your support. The road was long but well worth it. When these six global citizens step off the plane in Malawi all the work, dedication, and funds you all gave will pay off tenfold.
We look forward to keeping you posted on the progress of their trip.
From all of us at buildOn DC, a very BIG thank you!!
