When war forced families in eastern Congo to flee, hundreds of children lost their parents and their classrooms. At INUKA RELIEF Orphanage center in DRcongo, we equip orphaned children with notebooks, backpacks, uniforms, and shoes so they can return to class with dignity. Your gift covers the basics these children can no longer count on. Help a child in Goma walk into school proud, not empty-handed.
War in eastern Congo has torn families apart, leaving children at INUKA RELIEF Orphanage east of DRCongo without parents and without the means to attend school. When classes resumed this year, many orphans arrived empty-handed: no notebooks, no uniforms, no shoes. For children already carrying the weight of loss, showing up to school without basic supplies deepens the shame and isolation the war has already caused them.
This project provides each orphaned child at INUKA RELIEF with a full set of school supplies: notebooks, pens, backpacks, uniforms, and shoes. Our team in east of DRCongo sources durable, affordable materials from local vendors and distributes them before the term begins. Every child leaves with what they need to sit in class beside their peers prepared, protected from stigma, and ready to learn.
Educated children break cycles of poverty that war leaves behind. When orphans in Goma stay in school, they gain skills, confidence, and a future beyond survival. Educated youth are more likely to find stable work, support their communities, and resist recruitment into armed groups. By keeping these children in class today, we help rebuild eastern Congo's future one classroom at a time.
