QUARTERLY REPORTSend a Child in Nigeria to School for a Year (54398)Reporting Period: Quarterly Update

1. Introduction

This report provides an update on the progress of the Send a Child in Nigeria to School for a Year project (ID: 54398). Our mission is to remove financial barriers to education by supporting vulnerable children with access to quality education, learning materials, and a safe environment where they can thrive academically and personally.

Education remains one of the most effective tools for breaking the cycle of poverty, and we remain committed to ensuring that children from disadvantaged backgrounds have the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve their full potential.

2. Appreciation to Our Donors and GlobalGiving

We extend our deepest appreciation to every donor who generously supported this project. Your kindness is changing lives by giving children the opportunity to stay in school and pursue a brighter future.

We are also sincerely grateful to GlobalGiving for providing a trusted platform that connects our mission with compassionate supporters around the world. Your partnership continues to strengthen our efforts to make education accessible to children who need it most.

3. Financial Summary

During this reporting period, we received $180.29 USD through GlobalGiving.

The funds were carefully utilized to support project implementation, including educational assistance for vulnerable children, procurement of learning materials, project coordination, beneficiary identification, monitoring, and other essential operational activities necessary for effective programme delivery.

After these project-related expenditures, a balance of $1.29 USD remains and will be applied toward future educational support activities.

4. Project ActivitiesEducational Support

We continued identifying and supporting vulnerable children whose access to education is threatened by financial hardship.

Learning Materials

Project resources helped facilitate the provision and coordination of essential educational materials and support needed to encourage school attendance and learning.

Community Engagement

We worked with families and community stakeholders to promote the importance of education and encourage parents and guardians to keep their children in school.

Holistic Child Development

Beyond access to education, we continued advocating for children's wellbeing by promoting nutrition, good health, and a safe learning environment through our community-based initiatives.

5. Social Enterprise Support

In addition to donor funding, our social enterprise continued to complement the project through in-kind support and community-based initiatives.

Over the past three years, we have integrated our innovation activities with community service by donating food during the pilot testing of our nutraceutical diet products and nutrient-dense fortified foods. This has benefited vulnerable children and families while helping us improve the quality and nutritional value of our products.

Our commitment extends beyond education to supporting children's overall health and wellbeing, recognizing that proper nutrition is essential for effective learning.

6. Estimated Impact

Through donor support and our complementary community efforts, the project achieved meaningful progress.

Educational Impact

  • Educational support provided to vulnerable children to help them remain in school.
  • Improved access to essential learning resources for beneficiary children.
  • Increased awareness among parents and caregivers about the importance of continuous education.

Community Reach

  • Approximately 40–60 children and family members reached through educational outreach and community engagement.
  • Strengthened collaboration with community members to support children's education.

Child Wellbeing

  • Continued promotion of nutrition and healthy living as key factors in improving children's academic performance and overall development.

7. Challenges

The demand for educational assistance continues to exceed available resources. Many vulnerable children still require support with school fees, uniforms, books, transportation, and other educational needs.

Additional funding will enable us to reach more children and provide more comprehensive educational support.

8. Prospects and Future Plans

In the coming months, we aim to:

  • Support more vulnerable children with educational assistance.
  • Provide additional learning materials and school supplies.
  • Expand community awareness programmes promoting education.
  • Strengthen partnerships with schools, community leaders, and development partners.
  • Integrate educational support with nutrition and child wellbeing initiatives to improve learning outcomes.

We remain optimistic that continued donor support will enable us to reach more children and help them complete their education.

9. Conclusion

We sincerely thank every donor and GlobalGiving for believing in our vision. Your generous contribution of $180.29 has helped provide educational opportunities and hope to vulnerable children.

Every child who remains in school because of your support is one step closer to a brighter future. We are committed to using every contribution responsibly and transparently to maximize impact.

Together, we are investing in Nigeria's future—one child, one classroom, and one opportunity at a time.

With sincere gratitude,

Rosita Agomuo
