With summer around the corner, we want to give five children living in need the opportunity to attend the beautiful Wagon Road Camp in Chappaqua, New York. These five lucky children will enjoy recreation and exercise through various activities including swimming, ropes course, horseback riding, nature hikes, and more! They will also be able to participate in fun and engaging learning projects that stimulate their curiosity and wonder.
73% of New York City's low-income neighborhoods have insufficient access to park lands, and summer learning loss threatens to stunt the academic growth of our young people. What's more, summer camp is oftentimes out of reach for families with limited income, which means their children miss out on this incredible and formative experience.
By funding an unforgettable summer camp opportunity for five children living in New York City's low-income areas, you will help them enjoy all the great outdoors has to offer, and learn from stimulating activities that combat summer learning loss. Without this funding, these five children would not have access to summer camp.
Wagon Road campers will be better positioned to succeed in school, college, and life with the social-emotional skills they develop, the learning that takes place, and the healthy exercise they partake in. Some of our campers even find a spark or passion during the summertime that they turn into a future career path!
