We are excited to share our inspiring journey towards sending a group of 10 female football players to the Homeless World Cup tournament in Oslo, Norway this coming August. Thanks to your continued support we have made some strides towards uplifting young women through football, education and empowerment. 10 players (including the coach and manager) were selected from a pool of 80 young women that participated in our selection tournaments. These female athletes come from marginalized and underserved communities in and around Harare, Zimbabwe and face difference levels of exclusion.
Next steps include
1. Continued weekly football training
2. Passport and travel preparation
3. Training camp
4. Media awareness campaign
6. Departure for Oslo
We cannot do this without your support. Your generosity is not just sending a team to Norway, you are investing inn hope, dignity and the future of Zimbabwe's female footballers. Your continued donations will help cover flights, kits, training and camp.
We are truly grateful. together we are transforming communities through sport.
Warm regards,
Young Achievement Sports for Development
