We are raising funds to send a team of 8 boys and 8 girls to the Homeless World Cup in Norway in August 2025. This life changing opportunity will allow these young athletes, who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion, to showcase their talent, build confidence and break the cycle of poverty and marginalization. Your support will give them a chance to represent their country, communities, compete on a global stage and gain the skills and experience necessary for a brighter future.
Homelessness is a significant issue affecting not only Zimbabwean youths but millions of young people globally, often leading to social exclusion, lack of education and limited access to opportunities. Many young people in marginalized communities face an uphill battle in breaking free from the cycle of poverty and homelessness. Without access to resources, mentorship, or platforms to showcase their potential, they are at risk of being overlooked and excluded from society.
The Homeless World Cup provides a unique platform for young people from Zimbabwe who have faced homelessness and social exclusion to develop their skills, build self-esteem and break down barriers through the power of sport. The competition provides them with not only the opportunity to play soccer, but a chance to change the trajectory of their lives through rigorous training, mentorship, and exposure to a global network of supporters.
By participating in the 2025 Homeless World Cup, these young athletes will gain lifelong skills in leadership, teamwork and resilience. Beyond the tournament, they will serve as role models for other at-risk youth in their communities, demonstrating the power of sports in overcoming adversity. The program will also connect them with educational and employment opportunities, giving them a pathway out of homelessness and into a brighter future.
