Challenge

In the communities of Zongolica, Veracruz, indigenous women face immense challenges due to entrenched poverty and restrictive cultural norms. Limited access to education and job opportunities leaves many unable to improve their economic situations. This cycle of disadvantage not only affects the women themselves but also hinders the overall development of their families and communities. Without intervention, these barriers will continue to stifle their potential and perpetuate inequality.

Solution

We will bring economic empowerment to 200 indigenous women in Zongolica, Veracruz, through our Seed Women project. Our comprehensive training program includes job skills in hairdressing and computer education, as well as financial literacy workshops. These women gain certified skills that enable them to generate income and improve their family's economic stability. By providing access to education and resources, we will break the cycle of poverty and empower these women.

Long-Term Impact

The first stage of the project will create a profound, long-term impact by empowering 200 indigenous women in Zongolica, Veracruz, to break the cycles of economic and property violence. As these women gain job skills and financial literacy, they will gradually dismantle the barriers that have hindered their independence. This transformation will foster resilience within their families and communities, paving the way for future generations to live free from violence and thrive economically.
