For more than three decades, armed conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has profoundly affected children and families. Many children have experienced displacement, violence, loss of loved ones, poverty, interrupted education, and deep psychological distress. Seeds for Peace was created in response to this reality, with a simple but important goal: to help children affected by conflict rebuild their confidence, recover a sense of hope, and find pathways toward a safer and more stable future.
The project is currently in its preparation and resource-mobilization phase. We are identifying qualified trainers and potential learners who will participate in the program, while preparing the activities that will provide psychosocial support, educational assistance, and community-based learning. Our fundraising target is $30,000, and we have not yet received funds for the project. This transparency is important to us: the activities described are planned interventions and will begin once the necessary resources are secured.
We are deeply grateful to GlobalGiving for the opportunity to connect Seeds for Peace with a wider community of international supporters. Through this collaboration, we hope to mobilize the resources needed to launch the project and reach children who urgently need support. Every contribution, regardless of its size, can help us move closer to our goal and create opportunities for children who have grown up surrounded by conflict.
We invite donors, foundations, organizations, and individuals around the world to stand with these children. Your support can help transform trauma into hope, uncertainty into opportunity, and isolation into a stronger sense of community. By supporting Seeds for Peace, you are investing not only in children today, but also in the possibility of more peaceful and resilient communities tomorrow. To everyone who has supported, encouraged, or shared this initiative, we say thank you. And to those considering a contribution: we invite you to join us on this journey and help us give these children a reason to believe in their future.
