Brick-by-Brick: Securing a Forever-Home

We are thrilled to update you on the progress of our Brick-By-Brick Campaign, our dedicated effort to secure a forever home for the Mudita Foundation. As many of you know, our mission is to uplift and support school learners in disadvantaged communities, helping them break the cycle of poverty. A permanent home will significantly enhance our ability to achieve this mission.

We are raising funds to put a roof over our heads, central to all the schools we serve, ensuring that we can better support our school communities through having a central hub. Investing in a house in South Africa is a far superior option for an NGO compared to renting. The rental costs for NGOs are astronomical, and the additional expenses associated with renting are crippling. With our own premises, we can attract people to rent our spaces for conferences and events, providing us with a much-needed income stream.

Our vision for our new home includes creating a vibrant coffee shop and a second-hand clothing and goods store, drawing people and funds to our foundation. This hub will also be a gathering place for many volunteers, who can come together to brainstorm and assist the foundation in its work. With our new premises, we aim to expand our entrepreneurial endeavors, helping our school-leaving learners to do the same. We will provide internships and an education-rich environment to support lifelong learning.

With your support, platforms like GlobalGiving, and our other initiatives such as our upcoming Fun Run in Stellenbosch, Cape Town, South Africa, we are another brick closer to supporting our community like never before.
