"Secure the Future" Empowering Tomorrow's Men

Kenya’s boys need more than correction when things go wrong—they need mentorship, positive role models and safe spaces where they can learn what it means to be a man without violence, domination or harmful gender stereotypes. Secure the Future – Empowering Tomorrow’s Men is Men End FGM Foundation’s commitment to investing in boys and young men before harmful behaviours become entrenched. Through mentorship in schools, communities, faith spaces and youth groups, the project equips boys with emotional intelligence, leadership, consent, respect and positive masculinity. The ultimate goal is ambitious: to reach 1 million boys and young men across Kenya, because when boys are mentored and empowered, girls are safer and communities become stronger.

But this vision can only become reality with the support of people who believe that investing in boys today is investing in safer communities’ tomorrow. Every contribution can make a practical difference—from providing refreshments for a mentorship session to supporting educational materials, dignity kits, transport and role-model sessions. The project currently has a significant funding gap, with only a small fraction of its US$125,000 goal raised.
