This project will deliver a coordinated seven-week Ramadan 2026 intervention supporting vulnerable Lebanese, Syrian, and Palestinian households across Lebanon. Through food assistance and child-focused Eid activities, implemented with trusted partners and volunteers, the project targets areas of highest food insecurity while remaining flexible. The intervention promotes household stability during Ramadan and ensures children's well-being through inclusive Eid support and clothing.
Lebanon is facing a deepening food insecurity crisis driven by economic collapse, inflation, &reduced humanitarian assistance. Children are among the most affected, lacking access to nutritious food that supports their physical, cognitive, and emotional development. Orphaned, displaced, &separated children face added trauma and isolation. Over 1.24 million people are projected to face acute food insecurity, with vulnerable families relying on harmful coping strategies, especially during Ramadan.
The project addresses food insecurity by providing food parcels, iftar meals, and Eid support to vulnerable families across Lebanon, helping them meet basic nutritional needs with dignity. Community iftar gatherings will bring together Lebanese, Palestinian, and Syrian families, reducing isolation &strengthening social bonds. These events offer psychosocial support, connect orphans and separated families, and create safe spaces for children's joy, emotional relief, and well-being during Ramadan.
While addressing immediate Ramadan needs, the project contributes to long-term resilience by reducing negative coping mechanisms, protecting household food consumption, &supporting children's psychosocial well-being. Bringing together Lebanese and refugee communities promotes solidarity, reduces social tensions, &builds mutual support networks. Isolated families, especially widows, orphans, &displaced households, gain lasting relationships that strengthen stability.
