Sea Turtle Emergency Fund Update

By Brad Nahill | President

Thanks so much to everyone who has donated to the campaign so far, we appreciate your support!

We will be providing two new grants from our Emergency Fund to projects that have been impacted by the pandemic. These funds will help keep frontline sea turtle protectors on important beaches around the world.

Here are the groups we will be supporting with the funds you have donated:

Local Ocean Company (Kenya) ($2,000): This organization works on two important endangered green turtle nesting beaches which combined protect more than 300 nests per year. Their work is normally supported by hotels along the nesting beaches which are currently unoccupied and unable to provide support.

Barbados Sea Turtle Project ($2,500): This organization helps to protect more than 600 critically endangered hawksbill nesting females per year. These funds will help support a security guard on the most important nesting beach for a month.

Please help us support more projects by sharing this fundraiser with your family and friends.
