This week we have reached the landmark figure of 3000 distinct babies screened over 8000 screening sessions. These babies are drawm from over 23 different neo natal intensive care units(NICUs) spread across 11 districts of Karnataka. 14 of these are governement hospitals which serve the poorest patients.
We are also proud to have been a part of a team that helped "healthily" save the smallest pair of twins to survive from a Tier II city. This was at the Bapuji Institute of Medical Sciences in Davangere, Karnataka and the babies were less than 700gms at birth. An article in the Times of India
