During the quarter, SCEF officially commenced a partnership with Voltix Group under the Score for Success programme. The partnership seeks to use football as a platform to nurture the talents of street-connected boys while supporting their personal development and wellbeing.
The partnership focuses on football development, leadership, discipline, mentorship, and opportunities for the children to connect with professionals and other young people. Beyond football, the initiative creates a safe and positive space where street-connected children can play, have fun, build friendships, and experience childhood without being defined by labels or their circumstances.
A formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed, followed by a series of meetings to strengthen the partnership, refine the programme concept, and agree on implementation plans.
SCEF has also partnered with the Arthur Wharton Foundation, which will support the initiative with football trainers and referees as part of the programme’s technical development.
As preparations continue towards the Voltix Community Cup scheduled for December 19, weekly training sessions are being held for the boys. The sessions combine football training, physical exercises, relaxation, leadership development, and discipline-building activities.
Overall, the quarter has focused on establishing strong partnerships and programme structures while preparing the boys physically, socially, and mentally for the upcoming competition.
