During the first half of 2025, Fundación Tiempo de Juego continued to grow stronger, reaching more children and youth through sports, arts, and life skills development. A total of 1,015 participants were actively involved in our regional programs, 745 in Soacha and 270 in Santa Marta, while another 1,191 participants joined our Learning by Playing programs in Cali, Puerto Tejada, Bogotá, and other regions.
We also reinforced our high-performance programs in soccer and athletics. In athletics, 18 young athletes trained and competed regularly, building both their sporting aspirations and their life projects. A milestone this semester was the First Regional Kids Athletics Festival, “Kids Athletics Pro”, held on May 8 in Funza, Cundinamarca, where 25 of our participants earned top positions in categories from U8 to U18. Similarly, on May 10, we organized basketball exchange matches in Soacha with 20 participants, encouraging technical development, empowerment, and the first steps into competitive pathways.
In soccer, our Cazucá Fútbol Club continues to grow with 36 girls and 24 boys competing in the Torneo Super Campeones and the Bogotá League, proving that teamwork and resilience open doors to success.
These achievements are possible thanks to the collective effort of our allies and especially GlobalGiving, which helps us raise our voice and amplify the power of play. There is still so much more to do, more children waiting for safe spaces, more dreams ready to take flight.
