Since our recent announcement that House of Science NZ has signed a significant multi-year Government contract it’s been all hands on deck to scale up our production so we can service many more schools.
We had to wait until the New Zealand Science curriculum update was finalised in August as our kits need to align to the curriculum. Now that’s confirmed we are busy updating the kit design and manufacturing hundreds of new kits. Our staff numbers have doubled in the last quarter and we have moved our operation into larger premises.
Our school reach has increased significantly in the last quarter and is growing daily. Currently we service 1,000 schools which is 47% of all primary schools in the country. Our resources were used 3,180 times in the last 3 months, which equates to 250,000+ student interactions with a science experiment.
Teacher feedback continues to be super positive:
"We have used your kits for three years. Absolutely love them because they are so easy to use".
"We absolutely love the House of Science kits. The students were enthusiastic and engaged and in the conversations afterwards were able to articulate the science concepts".
