Identified 500 child labours would be provided dress and education materials . The identified children are attending at govt. supported child labour school but their attendance is very poor and very high school drop out due to high poverty and they don't get school uniform , bag and study materials. Further , parents and community stakeholders and local governance shall be involved for continued education to child labours. They will also be involved in checking drop out and new enrollment
At Gaya district Bihar, there is close relation between dalit illiteracy and poverty. Poor people are seriously lacking meaningful livelihood opportunity. More than 42% population fall in Below Poverty Line. It compels parents to engage children in labour work and whose living condition exposing them to increased risk of exploitation, abuse and further impoverishment. More than 6000 child labour children identified by govt. in Gaya district.
Child labours would be mobilized towards education through providing them School Uniform and education materials , project management and follow up by village education committee including Panchayat Raj Institution members , Self Help Groups/Village Organization leaders, dalit representatives, women leaders, use of IEC/BCC materials. The committee involved in mobilizing target children to attend the school , checking school drop out, managing education fund and management of education centers
90% child labours would be mainstreamed with education. 60% Decrease in school drop out . 60% decrease in girls marriage in early age.
