Natural disasters across Indonesia often disrupt children's education long after the emergency phase has passed. This project provides school kits for children affected by disasters, helping them return to school with basic learning supplies, dignity, and confidence. Flood-affected communities in Sumatra are among the priority areas for this support.
After disasters, children's education remains disrupted during the recovery phase. Damaged schools, difficult access to classrooms, and lost learning supplies make it harder for children to return to school properly. Many families are still recovering and cannot replace school bags, notebooks, stationery, uniforms, and other basic items, leaving children unprepared and at risk of falling behind.
This project will distribute school kit packages to children in disaster-affected areas. Each kit may include a school bag, notebooks, pencils, pens, erasers, sharpeners, rulers, pencil case, and other supporting school items such as uniforms, adjusted to local needs. These supplies help children return to class ready to learn.
School kits help children regain routine, confidence, and motivation after disaster. By supporting their return to school, this project helps reduce the risk of children falling behind or dropping out. It also supports long-term recovery by protecting children's education and keeping their future moving forward.
