This project will help 5000 students from socio-economically vulnerable backgrounds, attending government schools in and around Bangalore (India), to own basic educational resources which are vital for effective schooling and to realize their Right to quality Education.
Under the Right to Education Act, children in India have access to free education with textbooks, uniforms & midday meals. Although many efforts are made to enrol children into schools, the crucial requisite educational resources that enable their studies are still a challenge. Most of these students come from dire socio-economic backgrounds and families who are unable to provide the children with essential resources to study and learn.
Addressing this basic resource need, our project aims to ensure 5000 government school children, in and around Bangalore, have access to a new school kit and bring them a step closer to Making their Right to Education a Reality! This will ensure these children can attend school well equipped and complete their school year without any constraints. The School Kit contains: School Bag, Notebooks for the year, Pencil Pouch with Pen, pencils, eraser, sharpener, scale and Water Bottle
This project will ensure 5000 children in our partner schools have access to sustainable supply of resources required to continue and complete their education for the whole academic year. We partner with these schools through our Holistic School Development Program that creates a learning environment to foster overall development of the schools. We also facilitate the further studies of the many of these vulnerable students through our High School and college education programs.
