The Zarbaig School is going to be a double story building. Right now the ground floor is under construction. The school building once completed will have:
I visited to the DIL School Zarbaig on 10th Dec-2014. Almost 50% of the construction is complete. Construction work is proceeding smoothly as per plan and our estimated time for completion of this task is March, 2015.
Meanwhile students continue to attend school in the old one room building. There are 118 girls and 58 boys enrolled in the school. The school closed for winter vacations on 12th December. As this is a winter zone school, the winter holidays are longer and schools will reopen in late February. With the recent tragedy in the Peshawar school, where nearly 150 students were killed, it has become even more important to provide our girls, and boys, a safe and secure school where they can complete their education. The students, parents and teachers of Zarbaig school are determined not to be cowered by anyone and eagerly await their school to open.
