This quarter there has been great progress for DIL Trust UK!
The demarcation and layout of the new Zarbaig building is finally compete and construction work has started. This could not have been possible without the support and encouragement from our donors- Thank you!
The estimated time for completion of construction is 8 months. Once completed the students will be shifted to double story building with a play area and boundary wall. Moreover the building will have 9 classrooms for students from KG to Grade 6, a library, a staff room, 4 toilets, parapet wall, a veranda, and a terrace.
Community members have donated the land, and all legal transfer documents have been completed. The blue prints have been shared with the community and they have received approval and are relieved and satisfied with the initiation of construction.
Currently the students sit a mud thatched shelter with no boundary wall or classrooms. This is particularly dangerous because Dir., KP is an Earthquake zone. The builders of the new school have taken this into account and will make he building earthquake proof and safer for students to play and study. It is for this reason construction costs are much higher than expected.
We encourage your support through this time- every little would help!
