More are Attending School Now.

The project #60114 "Empower an Orphan: A Year of Education in Kumba" has made significant strides since the last report, demonstrating impactful progress in providing education and support to vulnerable internally displaced children in the region. Over the past year, the initiative successfully distributed essential school materials, including textbooks, stationery, uniforms, and backpacks to 37 deserving orphans. These materials were essential not just for their educational journey but also for encouraging a sense of normalcy and motivation among these children who have faced tremendous adversity in their lives. Furthermore, scholarships funded by the project have enabled these children to enroll in local schools, ensuring they receive quality education and a chance for a better future amid the challenges of displacement.
In addition to the direct educational benefits, the project has fostered a supportive community environment for the children and their families, including workshops for parents on navigating the schooling system and accessing resources. Feedback from the local schools indicates a marked improvement in attendance and academic performance among the beneficiaries, showcasing the project's efficacy in transforming lives through education. The collaboration with local educators and community leaders has strengthened the foundation of this initiative, bridging gaps between the children and the resources they need to thrive. The positive changes observed underscore the urgency and necessity of continuing this vital work in Kumba, with ongoing plans for future expansions to reach even more children in need.

From our hearts to you.

The "Empower an Orphan a Year of Education in Kumba - Cameroon" project has made commendable progress, thanks to the generosity of our donors. With the $148.56 raised out of our $10,000 target, we have taken meaningful steps towards securing educational opportunities for orphans in Kumba, in just ended academic year. This initial funding has allowed us to provide essential school supplies, including books and writing materials, for a select group of 23 children, as well as to cover a portion of their administrative fees. The impact of even this modest contribution has been profound, as it not only fosters a love for learning but also instills hope and ambition in children who have faced significant adversity.
Despite these advancements, we face significant challenges in reaching our ultimate goal of providing full educational coverage for more orphans in the community. We deeply appreciate the support we have received so far, but to ensure these children can thrive and achieve their potential, we urgently need further contributions. We encourage our network and supporters on the GlobalGiving platform to help us bridge the gap. Every dollar counts, and your continued support can empower these vulnerable children to access quality education, paving the way for a brighter future. Together, we can create transformative change in their lives and the community at large.

The HUFAC-CAMEROON project #60114, titled "Empower an Orphan a Year of Education in Kumba," has made meaningful progress thanks to the generous $148 donated despite our ambitious goal of $10,000. This funding has enabled us to provide vital educational resources for a select group of orphaned children in Kumba, including school supplies, uniforms, and access to tutoring sessions. We are delighted to report that these efforts have already shown a positive impact in the lives of the children involved, with improvements in their academic performance and increased participation in school activities. By addressing their immediate educational needs, we have set these vulnerable children on a path towards brighter futures.
However, we still have a considerable journey ahead to reach our goal, which would allow us to extend educational support to more orphans in the region. The current contributions have laid a solid foundation, but to fully realize our mission of empowering every orphan with a year of education, we need the support of more donors. We sincerely appreciate our current supporters for their compassion and generosity, and we invite others to join us in this vital cause. Together, we can make a substantial difference in the lives of these vulnerable children, ensuring they have the opportunities they deserve for education and personal growth. Your contributions can help us transform more lives and foster hope within the Kumba community.
