Just about ready!

We are thrilled to announce that the Love to Langa Swimming Academy at Philippi Children's Centre is finally complete. The finishing touches have been accomplished and now all we need is for the building inspectors and project manager to sign off the pool as per the conditions required by City of Cape Town planning.

We had international visitors on February 9 and they generously supplied noodles, goggles, flippers and all swim supplies, so we are all stocked and ready to go!

The swim school has pupils signed up and ready to start. Some of the students at Philippi were signed up by their parents, but a significant number of them are unable to cover the cost of lessons. "Thanks to our donors, we will be able to offer lessons to every child who wants them, regardless of their ability to pay," said Love to Langa Vice President, Shawn Lacy.
