Montessori Teacher Training Update

Although we likely will not break ground on our new Montessori School in Langa Township for another year, the Teacher Training Foundations program at Cornerstone Montessori is well underway!

The ladies from Langa Township are into their third month Montessori training at Cornerstone Montessori in Somerset West. To date, there has been no drop-outs or unnecessary absenteeism, only confident and enthusiastic students.

Our dedicated trainer, Helen Morgan, who owns Cornerstone, has her masters degree in Montessori education is proud of each and every student. The students are handing in assignments on time and are ready to volunteer and do observations at Montessori schools. The students have started a study group at the Langa Community Advice Forum run by Joy MacNab, who has generously allowed the students to study there.
