Last month, Lehman College hosted an event for St. George's Society scholarship recipients and alumni to launch an online book profiling the Society's scholars. The book includes a welcome from the Society's Patron, His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester and was made possible by The Online Book Company in England who donated their services to create the book. It was demonstrated at the event by the company's Founder, Jonathan Haward.

Since the scholarship program was launched in 2008, St. George's Society has awarded 198 scholarships. Each scholar has been offered the opportunity to use the book to share what the Society's financial assistance has meant to them and how it has affected their lives. 2010 scholarship recipient Jason from Jamaica wrote: "I am truly grateful to St. George’s for helping me move closer to making my ambition a reality. My experiences through the St. Georges Society have allowed me to gain the confidence and perspective to achieve all my aspirations."

By telling classmates and fellow scholars as well as members and supporters of the Society about their experiences others will learn how this initiative makes a significant difference in people's lives.

Thank you for supporting St. George's Soceity's scholarship program. Click on the link below to view the book online and learn more about our scholars.
